Those who suffer from rheumatoid arthritis generally do so later in their lives. This is not always the case as there are some who suffer from juvenile rheumatoid arthritis (JRA). JRA is a problem in which the bones and the joints will start to deteriorate while swelling occurs around the joints. Those who suffer from this disease will generally not have it their whole life, but if not maintained, the problem can cause lifelong pain that the individual will have to deal with.
Among the ways that you will be able to realize whenever you are dealing with these is if you are dealing with problems in the joints along with fevers. Fevers are generally the way of informing the mind that the body is not feeling well. This is generally a swelling in the tissue around the brain in which the body heat will start to rise.
The problem with JRA is something that you will need to go through your doctor. This will help in providing you with all of the right kinds of medications which will help in reducing swelling. These can be prescribed only after a proper diagnosis is given. This will often mean that an x-ray will have to be taken of the area in which you suspect that there is a problem.
The doctors will also look for swelling in the joints which is caused as a result of the joints developing extra tissue in order to try and fight off the problem that it perceives is there. This will generally mean using anti-inflammatory medications which can be included in the pain medication that you are taking. This can also be included in the creams that you are applying directly to the joints.
